The Jardines Story, A Cautionary Tale

I am just returning from a great working vacation and visit to my favorite Columbia, MO dentist.  While I was gone I began getting messages asking what I knew about a landmark Kansas City jazz club closing.  When I returned I faced more questions.  Today, I am trying to answer some of those questions and shed light on why a restaurant owner fired her entire staff during the holiday season.  For those of you who have never been to Jardines, this story is more of a cautionary tale.  In this industry you are sometimes asked to work for unprofessional and erratic owners.  Often times servers will endure these conditions to maintain a paycheck.  This is the story of one staff who stuck it out, found themselves fired, and then accused by the owner to the media of theft.  Today, I am telling their side of the story.
