On October 1, 2009, Foxtel launched an online download service that allows all cable and satellite customers to access Foxtel content via their computers.  The service was free for customers who can download channels in their subscription plan. There was a live streaming channel, ESPN3, while the rest of the service provided episodes of 38-channel programs. Then the CEO, Kim Williams, pointed out that Foxtel plans to expand its live broadcast space later in the year to coincide with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and the launch of thirty new channels for Foxtel Digital and HD.  This service was the source of great controversy because there was no support for Linux, Mac or all Windows 64-bit operating systems. , so many users can`t install the customer. Foxtel Download was discontinued in September 2012, as the service is no longer available to subscribers. In 2007, Network Ten entered into an agreement with Foxtel to allow them to carry a digital version of Ten`s programming. The agreement contains electronic guide data that allows Foxtel iQ users to schedule records on Ten. Prior to the agreement, Ten was promoted only in an analog format on cables. News Corp`s video subscription segment of Foxtel and Sky News fell $77 million in the first three months of 2020, “primarily due to lower subscription revenues due to a smaller number of radio subscribers” and a weaker Australian dollar, as noted in the accounts filed in May. Foxtel Now (formerly Foxtel Play) is an Internet TV alternative to the traditional Foxtel subscription and offers customers a no-blocking subscription starting at $10. The service offers more than 50 live channels and hundreds of hours of video-on-demand content in 6 subscription packages. On July 11, 2011, Austar announced that it had entered into final transaction agreements with Liberty Global, Inc.
